Anyone constantly bleeding?

Hi Sisters,

I have done a great deal of reading on this site, and it seems like most women have long periods, harsh periods, and painful periods. I was wondering if anyone else just continuely bleeds. I have had just a few weeks in the last three years where I wasn't bleeding. Anyone else? And, if so, just how anemic are you?

Anyone constantly bleeding?

Jean,

Prior to my surgery I was bleeding for 9 months straight. I was never anemic according to medical standards because I had a high iron store.

Since surgery I am feeling much better and certainly do not miss the bleeding.

I am returning to work tomorrow.

Good luck with your surgery on Tuesday.

Anyone constantly bleeding?

Yeah, it has been a very long three years with a steady decline of my health. I have put this off for long enough. Happy to have it over with.

YES! It began the day after a tubal occlusion procedure and I bled for about 4 months. Now I get about 2 weeks between bouts of heavy, painful bleeding. Scheduled to have uterus and part of the tubes revoved 2/21/07.

Anyone constantly bleeding?

Merry meet!

I bled almost constantly for 3 years, was 'borderline' anemic, if not 'below normal' iron levels (no big surprise) & finally had hysterectomy 2 moons ago...

I am still 'spotting' lightly, which the doc's said is normal for a few weeks. I go for my 2nd follow-up, at 8 eweeks, this time with the HEAD gynecologist next week...

They found two large tumors (benign) that hadn't shown up on their pre-op tests (?!) & my uterus was a 'solid mass' instead of 'globular, abnormal, & spoungey' as they'd expected, so it didn't squish down & out, resulting in rectal tearing.

So, sex is NOT a dream nor are ANY bowel feelings...

...BTW Since surgery 8 weeks ago now, I am still taking 2 colace a day, plus senna ( anatural laxative) PLUS 2 to 5 ex-lax, PLUS prune juice &/or cherry juice, & on a diet that is usually rendered to retired -if not toothless- folks...

& I've been battling urinary infections...

but IF i HADN'T HAD THIS SURGERY, THEY'D NOT HAVE FOUND THE TUMORS, etc., so I really am grateful...

Blessings,J

Anyone constantly bleeding?

Yup, I was bleeding for over two years straight. Yes I was anemic...I got to a 5 and had to have transfusions. I had to take an enormous amount of iron to try to keep up with output.

Anyone constantly bleeding?

Wow, i never knew it was possible to bleed as long as some of you have. My periods were at regular intervals but the last ten years were heavy. The last one was extremely heavy and my blood count was at a 3.7 when I arrived at the emergency room. I was lucky that i didn't have a heart attack. I received 4 transfusions during that hospital stay but had to go back for two more units four days later. Took iron and vitamin C for a month. My blood count was up to a 12 b4 surgery , yeaaaa! : )
Now my DD and I are planning a blood drive.

I have only been suffering thru this for about 6 months, but I can tell you, I should be VP of Always by now. I have only have about 2 weeks in no bleeding in aboout 180 days. My surgery is Tuesday, and yes, I am still bleeding.
