Frustrated....
I do not know what all of the abbreviations mean on this site. It has been very interesting reading all of the comments posted on this site, like how no one can sleep. I thought it was just me! Feels good to know that there are others out there who cannot sleep, I usually fall asleep around 3:00 am and wake up alot and finally get up around 9 or 10 am. I have tried taking naps during the day but I am one of the types whose brain never turns off. My doctor prescribed Ambein when I came home it seems to work for a little while. I have not had much help after my surgery, I am doing everything myself and it is soooo frustrating because my doctor says I should be feeling better by now as far as pain is concerned. I told him that I have not had much help and he told me that he knows it can be boring at home and I am just probably bored and moving things around to much, like I am at home rearranging my furniture. Trying to get anytime of pain meds from him have been extremely hard. Also having trouble with my boyfriend who is tired of having a girlfriend who cannot do anything, I had alot of pain before my surgery as well. I am trying to take it easy but I do have to cook and clean for myself. Thought about going grocery shopping but changed my mind, I do not want to hurt myself. Anyways, feels good to vent.........Thanks!!

Bag the boyfriend. He's not being very supportive of you at all. If you're thinking of marrying him, think twice. Imagine how he'll be after you have a baby or are ill. Your pain is probably because you are doing too much and because you feel all alone without support. Take it easy. Do what you want when you want. Take care of yourself. Surround yourself with people who care. If that means you're here 24/7, then so be it. We know what you're going through and how you're feeling. You're only out almost 3 weeks and your pain should be subsiding a bit and you should be feeling better. Get back on your feet emotionally and I'm sure that you'll improve. Call a good friend to help you. My best to you and you are not alone.

Tell the boyfriend to get over himself because you just had major surgery. If you over do it you may sitting around longer during an extended recovery. I had the sleep issue myself and slowly but surely I am getting back to normal. It took a weeks worth of Ambien to get me back to a semi normal sleep pattern.
If you are in pain you or have concerns about your quality of life during recovery. You need to stress the importance of your issues to your dr. If he/she doesn't listen find a new one that will.

Hi (((Jennifer)))
I'm sorry to hear you are having such a tough time of it. It's extra hard when you don't really have help. Please be careful to only do what you absolutely have to do and nothing more. Tell the boyfriend if he wants something to do he can come over and help you. This is a season in your life you have to set aside to let your body heal and there is just no way around it. Don't hesitate to stand up to your dr and let him know exactly what you are doing and how you are feeling. Sometimes they think they know and they don't .
Here is a link to the abbreviations. https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/view_abbreviations.htm These are found under the Quick Links tab up above and kind of to the right of the page, under where it says Private Messages.
Please take it very easy today. Rest and put yourself first. If you are hurting try a little heat. That used to help me. I hope you will be feeling better soon.

I am so glad that I found this website, thanks to all for your encouraging words! They mean the world to me! I am still very nauseas and have been taking phenagrin (sp?) today. Not able to eat to much, but drinking water. I am going to call my doctors service in the morning, not sure what is going on on my insides? I am going for a checkup on Monday and will make it clear how I am feeling and all of my concerns, if he does not listen again then it is time to find a new doctor! I hope everyone is doing well, and thanks again for listening!
Jennifer
