6 months since my Hysterectomy

Anyone have any advice for me as I am 6 months out from my surgery. I have been very hesitant to have any sex and I have no desire. Part of me is scared to introduce any possible infection into my system. The other part just has no desire to do anything, unsure if it's the loss of hormones or what.

And today when I had my 6 month gyno appointment there is no way I would do anything because of the amount of pain I was in from the internal the doctor did on me.

Did any of you develop infection after sex and how do you handle cleanup as I have had a total hysterectomy removing my uterus and cervix?

Did you talk to your doctor about this?

Re: 6 months since my Hysterectomy

You need to have that conversation with your doctor. It sounds like your hormones are not quite right. As to clean-up, I kept my cervix so it is a bit different for me. Some ladies say they need a tissue right after.

Re: 6 months since my Hysterectomy

She knows about the pain, but she doesn't know my hesitation. She says it's the scar tissue and things have healed beautifully.

Re: 6 months since my Hysterectomy

Last of desire is often hormone related so you really should talk to her about it. Did she have any suggestions to deal with the pain?

6 months since my Hysterectomy

Nothing was said about the pain except it being scar tissue. I am going to check about the hormone levels, I'm so sensitive to any replacement hormones that I'm kind of stuck with not much to do
