Overwhelemed and need to vent

My surg (not sure yet if PLH, or PAH supposed to be keeping cervix) is in less then 2 weeks. Our house is being remodeled, and should be done by Tuesday, and My husbands uncle who owns the house will be here March 26.

My last day of work was March 5, due to my back acting up, and I can't lift.

During my two weeks off, I have been painting, cleaning, and trying to get my house back in gear before I have surg. I can't seem to stop and rest, because I see the mountain that is lurking.

I flipped out on my hubby yesterday, because I was trying to scrub paint off tile (It doesn't like to come out of grout lines ) I sat in the middle of my hall bawling. I don't want to eat, because I'm so stressed. I'm constantly in pain, from my back, and my belly which of course I HAD to start my period today, and instead of the constant whole pelvic hurting, I kept getting sharp stabs over my left ovary. Ugggh

My husbands last day off was today, until next Friday, and is on call, so he won't be able to help with anything.

I feel like I'm a trainwreck waiting to happen.

Tomorrow, I get to have fasting blood work, and a chest x-ray so my GP can medically clear me for surg.

I think that's about it. Thanks for letting me vent..

Re: Overwhelemed and need to vent

I'm on stress overdrive too. The last thing you want to do though, is to hurt yourself right now. Just be careful that you don't overdo it physically. The emotional stuff is enough without hurting yourself too. Do what you need to do to really have yourself feeling okay and stop there. I had to tell myself that cleaning out my washing machine was not really a top priority. I was fine with it being "dirty" before and I will be fine with it afterwards too. You have gotta go for big picture stuff. Otherwise, you'll drive yourself crazy. Hang in there, hon.

Re: Overwhelemed and need to vent

Everyone gets stresssed and tries to get their home in order before surgery for various reasons - let me tell you a secret it doesn't matter what your house looks like - the laundry who cares. This time is about you and getting ready for surgery and quite frankly you are feeling a lot of emotions and probably are scared. I had my TAH on 1.11.10 and feel wonderful now! Don't hurt your back because it will not help your recovery - start resting now!!!
