I went in with a list of questions and on pain medication... it was definitely entertaining! I am a complete smart alike and when there is something serious I use humor to deal with it and being on medication intensified that! My dr scheduled me an hour and a half block of time for questions, lab work and paper work. I took the entire hour and a half... I found out today I don't have to have a TAH that my insurance approved a TLH! They didn't at first but my dr got them to change their minds!
I asked him (listing main questions only I had a list of aver 50 between me, my mom and my hubby)
What kind of surgery, What kind of anesthesia, how long I'd be in surgery, if i had to have bowel prep (which I don't have to
), Andenomyosis testing (he suspects I have it), how I get a copy of my surgery report, HRT questions, paps, what medications i'll get at the hospital and at home, how he recommends handling menopausal symptoms (keep stress, pain and the temp of the house low lol) and what i should bring to the hospital.
I recorded it for my mom (she's arriving Saturday) and my hubby (since he ended up having to work). If all goes well with no complications I should only be in the hospital 1-2 days! My last surgery was outpatient and I ended up staying 2 days because of bladder issues... so i'm going to be positive and hope that everything goes the way I want it to! Only a week left! I'm ready for this but my house isn't yet... my mom is going to help me set up my "area" when she gets here though
