Mini-period concerns

Hi Ladies, Just doing some much needed reporting. Had my hyster. June 25th and thankfully, I'm doing well. Except for one thing. I have mini periods (some months yes, others, no), and this week I am having cramping and leg pain, mood swings, and I have no uterus. Does anyone else have this? I feel like I still have a uterus. My mini period is even a little more. Should I be concerned? I'm a little anxious. Help!

you do not have a signature so we don't know what else if anything you had done- I too still have my ovaries, and while I do not get mini periods (doc cauterized endometrium in cervix) I do get the mood swings, and boy do I get the leg cramps, although they are not as bad as before-thank goodness

if you had complete removal of your uterus this could possibly be endometriosis, but more likely you still have your cervix and the remaining endometrium is still responding to your hormone changes.

If you did have your whole uterus removed I suggest at least a call to your surgeon is in order-and please get yourself a signature set up-

peace and Happy Healing!

Mini-period concerns

Hi Plantlady 129, Thanks for responding so quickly. I'm sorry about not giving out my info. I had my uterus removed and my doctor cautarized my cervix. But I still have mini periods and it seems that the cramping is even more crampier each month. My legs hurt and I cry at the drop of a dime. I thought that I would not have these symptons after the partial. Its nothing to severe yet, but I'm hoping that it doesn't get any worse. Have a blessed day!

I have found that my surgeon is only interested in stuff directly related to the surgery, if your regular gyn did not do the surgery you may want to bounce this off him/her. I have heard of (on here) incomplete or unsuccessful cervical endometrium cautherizations. Also, are your mini periods regular? How old are you? Are you perimenopausal? What was your pathology report like? Did you have adenomyosis or endometriosis or fibroids? Have you spoken to your surgeon or gyn about this?

The only thing that helps my leg cramps is 4 naprosyn (Aleve) and rubbing in some Arnica gel on my quads-if it's not severe just the arnica will do it.

The more info you have on your surgery, pathology etc the better off you are, we all need to be our own advocates.
