Hot flashes come and go - Normal?

I haven't really had hot flashes for at least a month and a half to two months. I've had night sweats, but not hot flashes during the day. Then today, I started getting the hot flashes again. Is it normal to not have them for a while and then have them come back? I was really hoping my few problems would get better before March (when the doc wants to put me on estrogen) rather than get worse again.

Hot flashes come and go - Normal?

Hi Stitcher,

I have noticed them coming and going in response to how tired / stressed I seem to be.

Hope that helps.

Good luck with everything!

Hot flashes come and go - Normal?

Thanks, that could be it. It is a stressful time of the year for everyone. I didn't think that I was any more tired or stressed than when I wasn't having them though. Maybe I am and just don't realize it! Go figure. I've had eyelid twitches in my lower right eyelid for about a month now. Yesterday, the upper left one started too. Supposedly that can be contributed to stress and fatigue too. I'm tired of that though and I am getting ready to call the doctor about that.

gah! eyelid twitches! I HATE those!

I discovered a couple of years ago that eyesight and eyestrain are also related to stress and exhaustion levels. The year I had scarlet fever I needed a stronger perscription for my glasses. About a year after I had "recovered" from that illness (it really took a full year to feel all better) my prescription went back to normal.

good luck with everything, sister! I'm rootin' for ya!
