vaginal reconstruction

I had a LAVH on nov 29th and at the same time the doctor fixed where i tore with my first daughter (12 yrs ago). The tear was pretty bad and was difficult to stitch back together I remember the doctor asking an assistant "where does this peice go". Somy doctor said he would see what he could do while i was asleep. He did a good job and now everything is nicely stitched and smooth. Has anyone else had this? I worry i am going to hurt something with BM's. And the stitches are poking me with i sit a certain way.

Use a supository the first time or two that you have a bm if you need to. I did with my first bm just because I was afraid. They can be bought over the counter.

Also, eat high fiber foods, take a stool softener, etc to help things along naturally.

I've had mine "reconstructed" three times. I understand your fear with BM's. Be very careful not to strain. Use a stool softener twice a day, drink lots of water, eat plenty of fiber and try to walk to keep things moving. As far as the stitches poking you, give your Dr a call. He can trim the stitch to make it more comfortable for you to sit. I've had to have the Dr do that for me a few times.
