I have my date

Finally heard back from the surgery scheduler. I just about fell off my chair, I met with my md yesterday and she called me today with my date. 1/16/04, yikes, that is next Friday. I guess when you tell them any time works, they get on it. I just can't wait for this to be done.
I also wanted the Thank all of the sisters out there that have been such a great help and support.

THANK YOU!

I have my date

I hope I get a turn around date that fast. That makes me think that I should get moving on the stuff that I would want to have done before any surgery...certain things around the house. Good luck to you.

I have my date

I just got my date today also. I'ts 1/20, which is quite a bit sooner than I had expected. I had spoken with my Dr. on Dec. 29, regarding the results of an ultrasound. I told her then that I had made my decision to go ahead with a hysterectomy. The next day, her nurse called me to schedule a biopsy, which was today (1/7). In the meantime, my Dr. had been working on scheduling my surgery. So, she had all the information for me today. I'll do all my pre-op stuff next week. I'm surprised it's so soon, but I'm ready to get it over with. Right now, I feel pretty calm, but, I know as time draws nearer, I'm going to be a nervous wreck!

So, Laura Jean, good luck and I'll be thinking of you on the 16th.

Date!

Good for you LJ,
Brilliant not having to wait ages to get your date.
Then doubly good that it's so soon! I had to wait 4.5 months from being told. My gynae is a busy man. I went on his cancellation list, but there were none to be had!
Believe me, they were a long few months. I'm glad you don't have long to go.
All the best.
