Questions...

Morning sisters!
This may ramble, so I apologize up front!.
So, I am reading a post in Hyst stories and I believe Sunshinewa posted about being short of breath and anemic. I called the doc's office yesterday because I have been extrememly short of breath for the past few weeks. I am a little overweight, but not so much that I thought it would interfere with my breathing like that. I specifically asked the nurse if my low iron (around 19) could be the cause....seems that I read/heard that somewhere over the years...she said NO. Advised me to exercise and start taking iron tablets.
Which brings me to my next ramble Went and got the tablets, and followed the directions to take with food to lessen stomach upset. Now, it could have been the mexican that I took it with that got me up at 3:48 AM thinking that I was dying, but being a HUGE mexican food fanatic-I have never had that type of reaction to mex food...do any ladies have an opinion about that? Is it possible that they terrible pain/diarrhea was from the iron? I know that my body needs it, but I can't do that at work! I am afraid to take another pill!
On top of all that, last night at one this morning I was wide awake!! Nothing to take (OTC doesn't work for me) and then hit with the stomach problems in the early. Needless to say, I am not feeling too sporty this morning!
I don't know what to do about the shortness of breath. I don't want to call doc's office and tell the nurse she was wrong without really knowing...any advice/opinion about that would be much appreciated!
Thanks for letting me take so much of your time!

Questions...

Mizpitt, Im sorry your having these problems!
The only thing I can tell about the iron is , how they affect me, I have a hard time with vitamins myself
They really mess me up, I was told a few weeks ago to take supplements, and according to pre-op instructions stop taking at least 10 days before surgery..I had to stop before that..all I did was run to the potty..maybe you could leave a message for your DR. to call you instead of talking to the nurse? Sounds like your having more trouble then I had and to be fair it may not be the iron causing this...you need to talk to your Dr, at least to reassure yourself! good luck and take care..
