Returning to work today....
Well sisters, I return to the land of full-time employment today. It has been six weeks, so off I go....
What is really odd, is that I have absolutely no desire to return, excluding wanting a paycheck again. In the six-weeks I have been gone, there has been the usual work bull. I worked remotely the last two weeks, and I was fortunate enough to be able to interact with some of my super jerk co-workers. Most of the folks at work are great, but there are those few that made me question my sanity related to working there before I went out for my surgery, and I know they will be right there at my cube this morning, demanding stuff.
Wish me luck, and good luck to everyone else who is returning to work today. Another milestone in our recoveries, and life post-hysterectomy.
I'll let you all know how it goes, although I'll be honest and tell you that I was out checking positions on Monster yesterday.

Returning to work today....
Good luck. I went back after 6 weeks with specific doctor instructions that I was not to work any overtime and the first day (with my belly swelling and burning) they asked if I could stay late.
I napped in my chair on another 10 hour day and my boss just laughed.
Retirement looks better and better.

Returning to work today....
Good luck to you!!! I return to work on the 19th and aside from missing my co-workers I too don't want to go back! What will my dog do without me! He's really gotten used to me around and we have a newfound relationship-I love him even more now if that's even possible.
Let us know how it goes
Have a good one!!

Returning to work today....
Good luck to everyone on their first day back to work. I'm also at work for my first day since surgery. So far so good. Seems like it is going to be a quiet day here today so that is good.

Returning to work today....
I agree with princessbanjo- retirement sounds wonderful!! Being off work for 5+ weeks has really been great. Its given me alot of time to consider what I want for the rest of my working days- career switcher at 50? Yikes, thats kinda scary. I have found myself thinking about how I want to spend my days. I am really tired of the rat race and working just for the paycheck. Can you tell i am dreading returning to my job!! Good luck to the rest of you, I am sure those first few 8hr days are going to seem like an eternity!

Best wishes everyone on returning to work
I'm back next week and really really dreading going back. I so understand what you feel. I do feel pretty good this week, so physically I'm ready, I think. But mentally, not so sure.

Returning to work today....
Mentally I'm ready, but still wonder if I am ready physically. I know I will be exhausted. One more week to rest. I have a big thick book I'm starting and am going to try to finish it this week. Ah well, retirement is just a year away.
Good luck to all of us.

Returning to work today....
Well, made it most of the day yesterday. Everyone at my work was very supportive but boy was I tired last night. I lasted until about 3:00 and I'm back today. I work a desk job and had trouble finding a comfortable way to sit so I brought a small pillow to put behind my back today. Seems to be helping. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Returning to work today....
Oh I feel the pain. I am due to go back to work next monday pending my two doctors visits this week (GYN and URO). I do not have a desk job, in fact I usually spend one day a week in the office and the rest of the days visiting clients all over the state of Georgia (typically I drive 300-500 miles per week). I am hoping they let me stay in the office for the first week....
I feel really good, but I get really tired after just a bit of walking or whatever. How will I walk the 1/2 mile from the parking garage? And the bathrooms are on the other side of our building it takes 4-5 minutes to get to them!
I dread going back because of the physical aspect, but I love what I do!
