silly emotions

Hi Sisters,

Let me first say that I have truly enjoyed this site. It has brought me knowledge and comfort.

Here is my dilemma:

I have had several surgeries for adhesions, scar tissue and infertility. They were major surgeries, 6 hours, long recovery times. I was never nervous about any of them.

Now, on Jan 7, 2005, I will be having a TAH- everything out-and I am an emotional wreck!

My sister was explaining to my 12 year old neice what a hyster was, and my neice said " She won't be a girl anymore!"

Now, I am 38 and she is 12. I have three kids, dont want anymore. I know I will still be female.

But, I still cried like a baby for an hour!! I don't understand why this surgery is so hard for to come to terms with...

Anyone else having the same problem??

I'm having this surgery tomorrow and I know what you mean..I'd swear I was scheduled for a labotomy (brain thing) or that I'd already had one... I'm quite emotional and also so scatter-brained that I am thankful that breathing is an involuntary thing...

Glad I am not alone. I am having such a hard time now I worry about what my hormones will be like AFTER I have no ovaries!
