Insurance balk

Hi all!
I did my pre-op today, and my Gyn said that my insurance is trying to refuse my surgery. They have "categories" that they put all procedures into, and apparently, they don't have one for recurring dermoid cysts. The Sec. said she was confident that she would get it approved, if not they will have to re-schedule. I finally started calming down after weeks of anxiety, and now may be looking at another week or two wait.
Have any of you had trouble from your ins. companies, and did they have to re-schedule?

You should try to PM Happeningsoon. She had to reschedule her hyst b/c of her insu co and now is having her hyst on July 13th (same day as me). If you go to look her up you should look at some of her posts. She discussed it on this site, and I bet you could find them if you look.

My insurance company tried to do the same thing to me.

They changed their minds so many times on approving/disallowing that we didn't know what to do. We are hoping we won't get a nasty suprise bill in a few months because it would ruin us.
