hemroids

could anyone tell me if they have experienced hemroid discomfort. i am 7 i/2 weeks out from my surgery and i now have a whopper of a hemroid. it hurts like crazy putting alot of pressure on my right side and i feel nausea's. i call my doctor and he ordered me some prescription that i am to put on once a day. i cant believe how uncomfortble i am. i just cant get comfortable no matter what i do.....help

Yes...

First you are constipated from surgery, pain meds, etc. then they have you on stool softeners, so you can go, and not strain.

Then you go off them and your digestive system goes a bit 'nuts' and possibly you get constipated again. [Or at least bigger/harder than it was before]...sorry TMI ! Every time I try to go off the stool softeners I have an awful time with BM's.

No wonder we suffer from hemroids! I for one am taking 1 stool softener a day. And I may for the rest of my life. [I am 12 weeks now]

Stool softeners will not hurt you in any way...and as long as I never have to be constipated or strain, I do not care .
