Not sure WHAT to think...UGH!
Hi Ladies!
I am so blessed to have found Hyster-land. I am new, but have already become so well informed thanks to you all. I am in a bit of a state of limbo however. After years of VERY painful and VERY heavy periods, I finally broke down and went to the docs a year ago. I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy in January. My doc couldn't find anything real significant to explain my problems. Just a few itty-bitty lesions. Nothing severe. He wanted to try Depo-provera to control periods. BIG mistake. I bled non-stop for 9 months, but THANKFULLY, the doubling-over pain was no longer an issue. After 6 months I had had it, and told him to go ahead and schedule me for the last option...abdominal hysterectomy(leaving the ovaries). As soon as my surgery was scheduled 6 weeks ago... (I'm sceduled for Sept. 25)...I stopped bleeding. I still haven't had a regular period. Anyway, I'm starting to doubt my decision. Doc seems to think I will return to pain-land sooner or later and should go ahead with surgery....but like having a baby, you forget just how severe it was. I am wondering if ANYONE out there has had the mystery problems l have, and what their outcomes were. My doc is somewhat stumped, but wants me to have quality of life back...as do I. I would greatly appreciate any opinions or similar expeiences anyone could share with me. Sorry to have made this so rambling......
