stressing....cant take not knowing...please if you know..

is the enemas and such for abdominal surgeries only??
He didnt tell me to do anything and now Im getting scared cuz I see so many goin to the Castle on Thursday and doin things tomorrow to prepare.
Im gonna call the dr in the mornin, but its 10 pm and Im spazzing out. Can anyone help?? *cries*

I had a LAVH on May 19th and my doctor didnot require me to do a enema or liquid diet. I was told just not to eat after midnight. I think it depends whether the intestines are connected to the uterus or ovaries because of endometrios (sp?). And if they are you have to take precautions and a enema is order. But to ease your mind call your doctor in the am that is what he is there for. Good luck with your surgery. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers on Thurs.

I had TAH and no bowel prep. Everything went well no complications. Feeling good now. Best of luck!

I also visit the castle on the 9th for my TAH. I had my pre-op appt. today and the only instruction I got was basically to eat light tomorrow and nothing but water after midnight. I will be asleep by then if I can sleep that is. My prayers to all who have surgery on the 9th. And I look forward to hearing from those who want to talk after. I see there are 30 of us. WOW!
I look forward to also to feeling better than I have for the past year.
