Re: One month post op, terrible cramps...

I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Did you keep your ovaries? With your ovies your body will still go through its cycle, without the actual period. But to be sure, call your doctor. You should feel better each day and new pain, or pain that is bringing you to tears, should be checked out to ensure everything is A-OK.

I know you said this would normally be your period time, but due to the surgery your cycle could be off schedule, and what you are feeling could be ovulation pain. I have always had ovulation pain, and bad, but it was terrible after my surgery. I think the fact that my body was so tender inside from the surgery made things worse. Luckily this bad pain only happened twice. I took ibuprofen and sat on a heating pad. I do think I get a phantom period though. My breasts get sore and get the same pms moodiness/tiredness I always had. I also get a bit of soreness where my vaginal cuff is, and I get a very faint brownish discharge - this happens every month!

You should call your doctor if your pain continues. I hope everything is ok!
