JazzyJuls,

Thanks for that info. At least we know we aren't alone. I too have bleed straight through packs of BC pills. It sucks.

Please let us know your post-op visit results when you get them. I hope you are doing well!

Re: Should I consider a hyster? TMI too.

I had my PAP at the doctors today. It went a lot quicker than normal (or so it seemed?). She filled out a requisition for a pelvic ultrasound that I go for next week. I discussed with her my concerns about the odor, length of my periods, and the pain with ovulating. She mumbled something about having "bulky veins"? No idea what that means, but she said they would do a thorough exam at the US. I told her I was ready for a hyster now, but she wants me to try the Mirena first. That will be discussed more after the US, depending on the results. If I have more fibroids, I suspect Mirena won't help much.

Oh, and I have multiple breast cysts. I knew this, but she' worried. I'm going in for a mammogram again next Friday, and they will schedule a draining of the largest one (again, it was done 2 years ago). All in all, not the best news. I told her I want to be done with the nuisance periods once and for all.

Jessicawrabbit,

At least you are on the right road! The ultrasound will shed some light on your situation.

I have had a set back. My 1/23 LSH was moved to 1/30 due to my high blood pressure. I got put on BP pills and went in today hoping it was down but it wasn't. So my LSH is pushed back another two weeks at least. I thank God for such diligent medical staff who are working with me to get me the best outcome. I certainly appreciate their time and care even though I'm a bit bummed out about having to wait longer. And of course, as I type this message my uterus is paining me! But I'm praying for the best.

We will make it! We just have to hang in there.

Sorry to hear about the delay. It's important to be in the best shape possible for a speedy recovery, and high BP is serious. I'm on meds for that myself, and even with regular monitoring and religiously taking my pills, my pressure is still all over the place. Stress and pain can make it worse, so it's good you have time to get it under control.

Best wishes to you!
