Low Back Pain-Same symptoms as PMS

Hi everyone..I did a search here on low back pain and in none of the post I read did anyone make the connection of low back pain after a hysterectomy being from PMS symptoms. I had a TAH 2/04 and am now having this really bad low back pains and aching all over and sort of evil acting just like I did prior to starting my periods, usually 1 or 2 days before. Then when I would start my period the symptoms would go away. But not in this case. I was thinking that these low back pains had something to do with either my estrogen being to low or to high. I just had some blood work done and my progestrone level was high. Over the level. Am waiting for the estrogen level still. Testerone was in the normal range, but on the lower side. Any ideas ladies. Kim, I definitely feel your pain. I am experiencing some of the same symptoms as you. I woke up 3 times in the middle of the night with the low back pain you are describing. I had my TAH/RSO on 2-3-05 and have been doing so well until this last 2 weeks. I have had killer headaches and now cramps and low back pain. I still have 1 ovary left so I am thinking it is just acting up now. Do you still have your ovaries??? You know they can still cycle and cause pain even without a uterus. If my pain continues, I will be calling my GYN and having some blood work or something done. This is getting ridiculous.

I too thought my back pain was from hormones or from surgery.. I just want to warn everyone that not all back pain is from hormones -- come to find out it was a blocked ureter causing urine to back up into my kidney. So be sure to have all pain checked by your doctor.

Hi..Anna...No I don't have my ovaries and I also have a headache almost everyday. Not terrible ones, just those nagging ones. I was wondering if the high level of progestrone I have was the reason for this. I know that high progestrone can fight against estrogen, so maybe I have low estrogen due to having the high progestrone. I do know I feel like I'm about to start my period, but there's nothing there anymore..Whoops..lol..Never ending story.

PS..Also have terrible joint aches now, besides the lower back, my wrist are really aching.
