mid/late Sept surgery date??

I was thinking of making a pre-op group who is having surgery around the same time. Anyone is welcome to chat with us, but I figured it would be great if we could get a few of us recovering together to be able to chat and give a "play by play" to what is going on so we can compare and support.

I am glad you found the HysterSisters site. You can definitely post in the pre-op forum to get your questions answered and if you get a chance pop into one of the Pre-Op chats. If you look at the Upcomig events on the right side of the screen you'll see the dates.

There is a moderated section where some descriptions are given of various surgeries by one of the hostesses and then all the princesses in waiting get a chance to ask questions. They are very informative.

If you are looking for pre-op date clubs you can post in the Friends without Faces forum. We want you to have the opportunity to meet others with your dates but try to keep Pre-op open for surgery type concerns. Helps us and other members to be able to more easily offer assistance.

Once you get to that post-op stage there are threads created for each week so that the new princesses can post post-op progress items and share w/ other members who had surgery that week. Of course you can also post your own thread about special post-op concerns you might have.

It's not that we don't want the support/advise of others, it's that we wanted a place to go and talk and chat with others going through this at the same time. Whether that talk be about pre-op, post-op, families, sex, work, hobbies, etc, that has yet to be determined. It really would be great to have a monthly titled group on the pre-op boards (much like a due date on PG boards). So would you suggest I make a "Sept Surgery" group in Friends without Faces or pre-op?

If you want to chat about family, work, hobbies, etc., a thread should be created in the Friends Without Faces forum. You may also want to check out the various sub-forms in that area to see if any of them might be of interest to you: Pets Party, Surviving Parenthood, Poetry and Prose, and more! We also have forums for recipes, games, book reviews, etc.

If you have specific hysterectomy related questions, those need to posted in the Pre Op section but cannot be in a date club form. For more information, you can refer to this sticky posted by the site owner on the Pre Op board: https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...d.php?t=329618.
