too much excitement!

Hi gals,

So I'm what a week and a half out? Today was the first day I can say I felt even remotely human. I enjoyed my walks. I sat in the garden and picked spinach. It was a good day.

This evening, I was relaxing in the living room when I hear screaming from outside my front door. "Help!, help!"

It was my across the street neighbor. Her 2 year old was having a seizure. I am on the fire department and the go-to gal for folks on my street. I can't run so I shuffle across the street. I find the baby indeed having a seizure. I start to tell people what to do. I'm off duty right now d/t my surgery but what am I gonna say? I'm sorry, I can't come. I am busy resting. Ya, nope.

Everybody shows up. I holler to the guys what to grab from the truck. As soon as I can, I let them take over care of the child. By the time I leave the scene, I know I've done too much. I was very careful not to lift or run. I sat on my butt on the ground to provide care. Still, I have new vag bleeding. Frustrating.

The child is okay. I am okay. Just starting to feel more sore. Just wanted to share my evening.

Re: too much excitement!

I totally understand. My grandma had multiple strokes while I was recovering at moms. I was a very much needed extra hand...it was my grandma...what was I supposed to do??? I've been bleeding since Saturday and now cramping today. I hear you and commend you for jumping in and helping the child. Glad everyone is alive. Call ur dr tomorrow!!!
