Re: Will period delay surgery?

Want to add though, my bleeding has been bad past my surgery. I have felt like I still have been on my period. But, I'm different than most people it seems, and I had to go in on Monday to have him treat the incision with silver nitrate and it helped for a couple of days, and he also tested me that day for a form of hemophilia called von Willebrands disease, because bleeding issues have been the story of my life. And this is most likely what's going on with me.

But, I just saw all of the replies above saying that their period were completely gone after their surgery, and just needed to share that mine period level bleeding was sadly not. However, if you ARE bleeding that much afterwards, you need to let your doc know because there are things they can do to help, or it may lead to further diagnosis of other underlying issues.

Not trying to scare anyone, just sharing my experience so people can be aware that it can be like this too.
