TAH: Upcoming hysterectomy 3/23: First time surgery

Hello ladies! I am 34 years old and am having my surgery on Wednesday, march 23. A total abdominal hysterectomy, i have asked for 12 weeks off of work , that was approved. since I do a lot of physical activity and lifting between 20-30 lbs per object, Is this too much. Should I only ask for 6 since this seems like what I've been reading the most

My advice would be to wait and see how your recovery goes. Your body will let you know.

If you've already been approved for 12 weeks off, then stick with that for now. If your recovery goes well and you feel you can return to work earlier, then ask your doctor and employer about that when the time comes.
