pubic bone area sensitivity?

Hi ladies,
I'm nearly two weeks post op from LAVH. kept ovaries.
I've got wierd sensitivity on the right side of my
pubic bone? not sure if that's what to call it.
could be gas....i've been experiencing quiet a bit
of discomfort with it but no probs w/ bm.
I just think it's a bit odd to feel soreness there if it's from
surgery positioning or whatever......
anybody else have this irritation?
pms should have been around the 4th. it is only the 7th.
hmmmmmm. could be the reason for the short fuse and hot flashes as well.
argh. i don't know. if it is bad on monday then i'll mention it when i make my apt for the back to work note....or
maybe i'll have to take more time off........which i can't or shouldn't because the std checks aren't going to be nearly what I need for my household.......
now i'm thinking pms pangs.
i guess i just needed to vent.
but really, has anyone else experienced the pubic bone area sensitivity?

Re: pubic bone area sensitivity?

Did you have any other repairs done? I had a tvt (bladder lift with mesh) and I had some bruising on the pubic bone area where they attached the mesh to my pubic area. My bruises lasted for over three weeks. I will occasionally have a pulling and burning sensation on the right side. It rarely happens on the left side but it has happened. Lots of weird sensations after this type of surgery!!!

Re: pubic bone area sensitivity?

yes that's true.
turns out it must have been a little trigger for overdoing it
it's a bit sensitive to touch but nothing like last night.

I am not aware of any other repairs.......so i guess not.
did have a cyst on left ovary but this is much further down
and on the right side.
thanks for your response.
xoxo

Re: pubic bone area sensitivity?

When they do an LAVH how does it work? Does it go through the three openings on the abdomen and through the vagina or ONLY through the vagina?
I had a tvh done and my friend just had a complete ablation done and she thinks it may not have worked. Her next option is a hysterectomy and she was told to get a lavh.....but I wasn't sure exactly how it works.

Re: pubic bone area sensitivity?

there are four incisions where they put the larascopic microscopes.
they stick those in your belly, kinda like the davinci procedure then
I think they go through the vagina and take it out. not sure if it's laser or instruments.....i didn't have any vaginal pain. just a little irritation from where they stitched up the vaginal cuff but that was barely noticeable.
i'm sure there is more information.........
check it out. my incisions are nearly gone and i doubt i'll have big scars.

Re: pubic bone area sensitivity?

Just echoing Leese's response that there are all kinds of weird sensations after this surgery and they settle down over the 6 weeks.
I hope it is better now.
