Scary day at 12 weeks

I've been feeling great, except for the constipation. Last night I took milk of mag, because I felt like the BM was there, but not coming down.
This morning at 0400 I was trying to go, with no success. Then I felt like there was something in my vagina. When I checked with my finger, it felt like a membrane protruding, and with hard stool in it. I freaked, of course. Woke up my husband, who then called out sick.
Called the doc office as soon as they opened, and explained. My doc, Dr. R, wouldn't be in til one. They called me back with an appt of 245.
I was so sure I'd be sent to the hospital, that I didn't eat all day. Wanted to cry, but it wouldn't change anything and I'd have a stuffy nose.
I did cry while describing what happened. She did an exam, and said I'm healing really well, and possibly have a small rectocele. She advised me to start taking colace, drinking lots of fluid, and to get either a dulcolax suppository or a Fleets on the way home. I got the fleets, and had really good results. I also got the colace, to take with my fiber.
It was such a relief to find that I'm OK, which made me cry again. Dr. R gave me a hug and said I'm doing great, this is just another blip in the road.

Re: Scary day at 12 weeks

Wow, how scary for you! And for your hubby! Glad you called doctor right away, sorry for the long wait of the day.... I guess your posting was a good eye opener for all, I mean, who would think at 12 weeks any issues would pop up right??? Glad you are on the mend and think we should all be aware that there are "blips" out there. Hope the rest of your coming days are event free!!!!
