Is anyone still experiencing hot flashes after Lupron?

I had Lupron shots for 8 months due to very heavy bleeding and being severely anemic. This was to prepare me for surgery as I could not have surgery in my anemic state. My uterus was first the size of a grapefruit but by the time I had the surgery it was down to the size of an orange. I had a TAH because it was thought I might have a lot of scar tissue from two prior c-sections and a gallbladder surgery. There was minimal blood loss and surgery seemed to come out perfect. It has been six weeks now. I have a couple of questions. Is anyone still experiencing hot flashes after the Lupron shot has stopped? Last shot was in September. I am still having hot flashes and I am still tiring easily. I was able to keep my ovaries. I can't tell if the ovaries aren't working yet or these flashes left over from the shot. I last about 5 hours before I feel like I need a nap. When will the tiredness go away?

Re: Fibroids and Lupron questions

Hi Deliteful,
We had surgery on the same day! I'm also still getting "mini" hot flashes but not near as bad as when I was on Lupron. My last shot was in early September also. I think it just takes time for everything to level off. You might want to ask your dr to check your hemoglobin. If you are still anemic, that could make you tire easily.

Re: Fibroids and Lupron questions

Hi Peacelily,
I'm looking forward to everything leveling off. I will definitely have to get my hemoglobin checked. I was not this tired before surgery and iron levels were good because of the Lupron and vitamins. It has not been checked since surgery. Thanks for the info. Happy six weeks!
