9 weeks after hysterectomy and still spotting

Had a total lap done 9 weeks ago by davinci including cervix, tubes, ovaries. Thankfully came back stage one contained in the uterus. I have been experiencing brown discharge all along but have been spotting a bit of blood but having some burning not while urinating just maybe sitting in a desk chair at work. Called dr they are not overly concerned and unless its a lot of bleeding want me to wait until the 12 week mark for healing purposes that it might be a bit of granulation but that could be taken care of at 12 weeks. Anyone have the burning? Also to my shock I have broken out with vaginal warts and have now had 2 freezing treatments with not much help. Dr said it was from compromised immune system. Does anyone have any advice to build up my immune system? And help with warts. My surgery went very easy I had no pain at all. No pain meds needed was back to work with no issues in 4 weeks. Sorry for the long post.

Hi Harriet, I'm sorry for the trouble you are having. I am 5 weeks post op and I've had spotting almost daily and episodes of heavier bleeding. At my two week appointment my doctor suggested that it could be scar tissue/granulation causing the problem and said it could be treated with silver nitrate if it persisted. He did not check me, just wanted me to heal.
Your burning sensation could be coming from lack of estrogen since your ovaries were removed. I kept mine, but I don't think my hormones have leveled out and I'm having some dryness with burning or itching at times.
I can't say I know much about the other issue of warts. Have you had them in the past or tested positive for HPV the virus that causes warts in the past. Since they are a virus, I have read like any virus can lay dormant for a while but come back when the body is stressed or as your doctor said your immune system is weak. There are some good antioxidants that build the immune system.Green tea, Lysine, and vitamin C to name a few. I hope you are better soon and all of this is a thing of the past.

Re: 9 weeks after hysterectomy and still spotting

For my immune system, I take 5000mg of Vitamin D3 and 1000mg of Vitamin C daily. I hope you are feeling better!
