Re: Best Wishes to our November 22 Princesses

I wanted to stop in for a moment to let you know that I will be in your corner through the various stages of your surgery/healing and you on.

There might be some sisters that are absolutely ready to get things underway as the anxiousness of waiting feels like it takes forever. For other sisters that might be super nervous or just a little scared, please take a deep breath. This is one more hurdle or stepping stone along a path that we face and with each, it will make us stronger.

Here are a few tips that might provide useful for recovery:

1) Do any last minute cleaning/shopping/meal preps.

2) Utilize your time to pick up last minute items you might need for your spot. For items such as moist wipes (I got them too), a small pillow, Gas X, Chapstick, Stool Softeners, ice packs ready for your tummy, Reading material or crossword puzzles along with a small pad of paper & a pen

3) Enjoy yourself by getting your hair dazzled up and/or trimmed. Have a /pedi done.

4) Put on some good and .

5) Spend time to with friends while having a meal out and/or have a date night with your spouse or s/o. Enjoy some sweet family time and line up things you might want to do when you are in your nestled spot when you get home.

6) Follow your instructions as it truly does help.

7) Charge your portal electronic devices and have the cords near your recovery spot. That way when you are resting and have a chance to read the vast wealth of information here it is right by your side.

I will drop in every day on your Nov 21-27 Recovery Thread ( which you will find in the Post Op section under Hysterectomy Recovery Reports ). Once there, you have the opportunity to connect, share, bond and ask questions with other sisters that will be healing from surgery during the same week as you.

Also, Pre Op Open House is Sunday (today) so stop in and visit with surgery sisters and gain insight from ladies that already had had their surgeries.

You are never alone. I will see you on the Other Side!!

Re: Best Wishes to our November 22 Princesses

Thank you guys for sending me the well wishes for tomorrow! I seem to be calm cool and collected right now, but my husband is about to go nuts....Any advice? I am worried about the after effects of the surgery, but those are going to be worth it to not be in pain and misery for 15 days a month! Just need some reassurance that everything will be OK! Any advice or tricks or thought on what I need to do, ask, or bring with me would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!
