sick of...thankful for...

Well, the things I was sick of are pretty much non-existent. I do remember them, though:

I was sick of having the catheter hanging out the wazoo for 3 weeks! I was sick of having to move in slow motion like I was 200 years old. I was sick of not being able to come and go as I pleased. I was sick of being dependent on others. I was sick of not being able to get a comfortable sleep position at night.

I am thankful for the wonderful recovery I am having. I am thankful for this website which gave me so much info which has had tremendous impact on my wonderful recovery. I am thankful for my computer for it is always a source of comfort and relaxation. I am thankful for life and all the wonderful people and creatures in it. I am thankful I no longer have things in my life that I am sick of. I am thankful for a loving God and my angels who keep constant watch over me.

sick of...thankful for...

i'm tired of having to roll out of bed and out of a chair. my wonderful husband "having" to take care of me (when i enjoy taking care of him)

i'm thankful of finally being able to take a "bath", my wonderful husband taking care of me(and being a phone call away when at work), my mom taking care of me for the first 3 1/2 weeks and my dad not being a grump that mom was gone for 4 weeks. Not having a period where i feel like i'm bleeding to death and not having to wear the overnight pad(all the time) anymore. For my very supportive family and for all of you - my sisters. And many many more things!!!!

sick of...thankful for...

Thanks ladies for making me smile. I really needed this...
I'm game too... Everyone on Hyster should do this one...

I am sick of all the hormone changes. I've cried over dumb stuff... I am sick of not being myself yet... I am sick that I can't pick up my 2 yr old son because he is too heavy! Swelly belly is no stranger to me because after 3 kids... still looks the same! Hee hee hee

I'm thankful that I have my 3 babies (since I was told at 21 I would never be able to have kids), a wonderful DH who just bought me M&M's today because I craved them... and I have my health to be thankful for.

Thanks for brightening up my day today, I really needed this. Thanks sisters!

sick of...thankful for...

I'm in.

I'm sick of taking forever getting ready (glad to hear I'm not the only one, though), getting exhausted doing things that I breezed through before, and sleeping in the recliner (things just don't feel "right" on my side or tummy, yet).

I'm thankful for my wonderful DH, my amazingly thoughtful 19-year-old son, and my great friends and church family who are still taking such good care of me. I'm also thankful for this website, for giving me a place to learn, plan, and vent.

sick of...thankful for...

Several of the things I was sick of have gone by the wayside, however I am sick of needing to be aware of overdoing it. I feel fine, but sometimes my body tells me I did too much. At this point is easy to think something is OK and pay for it later (getting a couple of buckets of cat litter at Costco last weekend was NOT a good idea).

I am thankful for a smooth and uneventful recovery, no more planning around Aunt Flo, not being exhausted because of the anemia. the fact I used my recovery time to concentrate on eating healthier and getting back into exercising.

I am also very thankful for this site and everyone who has posted. It was a great help pre-op, post-op and even now that almost 6 months have passed it is a source of inspiration, laughs and a good resource.

sick of...thankful for...

I'm sick of:
Pain-discomfort-burning
Being tired, but not sleepy
NEEDED a nap

I'm Thankful for:
2 yr old, no more bleeding & cramps, Swelly Belly Band, Bubba Keg 52 full of ice water, the friends that have chipped in and took care of me and especially my 2 yr old. From cleaning to picking up the stuff I drop on the floor. My DH trying to be caring & supportive part of the time (could be none), his job that keeps him out of my hair & provides income to shop online, scooters for shopping, and so much more! God has Blessed me.
