6 Week Recovery TAVH APRIL 14th, 2010

It has been an up and down ride for myself.

While I still do experience some cramping or aching internally and occasionally to the left of the incision site externally, I am 89 % better. I do get tired very easily still.

I also have fought a stomach bug and am now fighting a touch of bronchitis. Make sure that anyone ill stays away. it is true, you are more susceptible. I unfortunately found out the hard way. If at all possible, rest as much as possible. If feel tired at all, rest for even 15 minutes. Your immune system and body will thank you.

My 6 week appointment has been changed to Friday and I am eager to see what he says.

How did your 6 week appt. go?

I ended up at my 6 week appointment after 7 1/2 weeks. Yesterday to be exact.

I have one stitch left and am able to return to all activities. Even though I have done them for the past two weeks as is.

My husband and I finally had intercourse on Friday, 7 weeks and 2 days post op and it felt different. I think that is because I was anticipating it too hurt or something. No bleeding, discharge, etc.

I am now very happy though that I have had this procedure and hope that I continue without pain.
