Robot Broke!!!!

I WAS scheduled for the Da Vinci Robot assisted hysterectomy, but ummmmm it broke! LOL! It won't be up and running and tested until after my Sept 30th surgery.

So, now I am looking at a Vaginal or LAVH......otherwise I would be scheduled out two more weeks.....I am already impatient and am ready to get it over and done.

To my fellow HysterSisters that have had these two procedures done, how was your recovery? I am looking at my options to help make my decision.

I thought for sure when I got the call today that my Dr. was gonna tell me that they had to reschedule or cancel or...or.....

I had a TAH so I can't shed any light on healing time from any of these methods. Although, remember, everyone recovers differently.

But thank goodness the robot broke now rather than during your surgery.

My belief is - everything happens for a reason. At least you have warning of the change.

Omg! Now that scares me. That's what am going to have. What if the darn thing breaks during surgery???

I hope you figure which to choose now. That really sucks. Mine was scheduled on 9 th but I've been really sick so they had to cancel and the earliest is going to beo October 28th. It gives me time to get better, get into shape, organize and clean house etc.

Change of plans....LMAO!
After my nurse consulted with my Dr. My options are Da Vinci or Abdominal....So....my surgery is now TENTATIVELY and I do mean TENTATIVELY scheduled for October 14.
Now.....The Dr. that assists my Dr. isn't available that day, or on the 21st. My Dr. isn't available on the 28th. So, I could be pushed out until November 4.
I am sooooo not excited!!!! UGH!!!!!
Oh well, push on! I have been so busy getting ready for my 3 Day 60 mile walk that at least now I will have a little more time to get my house in order and things figured out!!!!
