Silly Question

I had a TAH and RSO and took a shower the morning after surgery. It was like a whole new world. I just wanted to get fresh and I felt fantastic afterwards. The other ladies are right, the nurses will help you and a chair in the shower is excellent.

Silly Question

I have the same worry...but for different hair reasons! I have medium length, very thick, naturally curly hair. I do wash it every day except sometimes on weekends if I'm not leaving the house. I'm sure I will look like a witch after day one. But...I don't think I'll really care! During my ablation in February I had to take the barrette I usually use out since they were using a laser...talk about a mess!

Silly Question

First to Bizet woman...You are so funny.... I am thinking that the attitude you had is the one I want! Except I don't know if I will be that way. I am fanatical it seems all the time.... too clean about everything! (That is not always good!)I love reading your posts! Otessa, So guess what??? I have naturally curly hair too, and wash it everyday....But I have an idea for you, which I am going to implemnent the day of surgery. Sometimes I do straighten my hair with a ceramic iron, and it comes pin straight. I will do it before my surgery. It usually stays for 2 days, and my hair (being curly) is certainly not oily... so I figure it should be Ok till I get home the day after surgery..

Silly Question

My hair......I don't know what I was thinking...guess I didn't give a hoot! I'm super tall (6'2") and have a lot of curly long hair. I must have done this during the morphine party...took out the ponytail holder that was digging a hole in the back of my head and styled it into 2 long braids with a part in the middle. Looked like a man in bad drag! Along with my hopital gown and the short fuzzy hairs sticking straight out, the stupid doped-up look on my face...I looked like I had escaped from a different ward in the hospital, if you know what I mean. I would walk past my mirror and stop to hold my stomach and laugh. Never underestimate our ability to amuse ourselves.
