Pre-op done and 6 days to go!!!

Well I had my pre-op yesterday and I am ready to go! Bowel prep is optional, but the doc says you heal a lot better and have less pain afterward if you do it, so I am going to brave the drink and do it. Otherwise it wasn't a big deal. I did find out that they are taking my left ovary and tube, my cervix, and my uterus. I check in at 11 on Thursday and should be home by Friday night, if he is able to do everything laparoscopic/vaginal.

I have to say I love my doc!!! He makes me so comfortable. I never feel like I am taking too much time or that he is in a hurry. He doesn't make me feel stupid or that I am wasting his time, which is what my other doc made me feel like.

For those like me who are worrying that they will get in there and not find ANYTHING here is what he said... he said they do not have a name for everything and do not know everything. In the cases he has had where they didn't see anything, the hyst still solved the problems, so there was definitely troubles going on.

I just want you all to be reassured that even if we have no cyst or no tumors there are still hidden and unseen things that cause the same bleeding, pain, and agony!

Sounds like your preop went VERY well. I am glad you have such a great doc.

Sounds like he covered everthing thats good I know it must make you feel a great deal better. My pre-op is 9-17 hope mine is as good!! Good Luck!!
