Mood swings with one ovary?

Over the past 4 weeks since the surgery, I kept wondering how my moods would be. I got to keep one ovary. So, wasn't sure if that would maybe even out my hormones. Before surgery I was always known as the one who wore my heart on my sleeve and could cry at pretty much anything.
So, since the surgery, I was surprised to have a general overall happy and content feeling. Despite the pain and uncomfortable situation. I felt overall positive. Yes, I had an occasional sad thought or down moment which was usually always situational...but no serious mood issues.
Until today. Nothing in particular really happened today. I was really tired and after a short nap, woke up and literally was mad at the world. And even now...I still feel super grouchy deep down. It's like a churning of annoyance and anger. I also have had no appetite today...as well as no energy.
What Is this about???? I'm just tired of laying in bed. I'm tired of having to rely on others to do things and I'm just overall grouchy about the whole situation tonight.
And then I cry cause I'm grouchy and don't want to be!
holy hormones batman!!! what is going on here???
Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like this.
Maybe I'm just having a bad day.

One remaining ovary can do what both ovaries were doing before. So, if you struggled with emotional swings before your surgery, there is a good chance that won't change.

If this is different than what you experienced before, then it may be related to the recovery. If your ovary is still in "shock" from the surgery, and you have used up what estrogen your body had stored, then this could be due to that. Have you discussed this with your Dr?
