Back to work too soon... Questions re/ symptoms

Hi girls. first and foremost I want thank all of your for your support for my 3 days post op post... I really appreciate it.

Here I am 11 days post op... I'm doing too much, I'm upset, I'm a wreck.
I was forced in a sense to go back to work because my work doesn't allow "unpaid leave" - doc did give me the the clearance. But I'm exhausted!!! My emotions are going nuts now, I have all this pressure like vaginal sometimes it feels like something is going to fall out!!! My skin is peeling off my face... ugh. Pressure swelling? anything else you girls can help me with? doc thinks it's just my stage of healing...
I'm a single mom trying to do too much too soon.

Hugs,
Michele

Back to work too soon... Questions re/ symptoms

You know there is a law in this country, the Family Medical Leave Act, which required employers to give you unpaid leave up to 12 weeks for serious medical conditions. I think this qualifies.

It qualifies if you have worked there a specific amount of time, and the company is large enough to be held to standards.

I would try to contact someone in your area who is familiar with the leave act and see if it applies in your case.

Good luck with this and let us know what you find out!!

Back to work too soon

I too was a single mother for 4 years. I think I understand what you are saying is you can't do without the paycheck is this correct? I know what it feels like to be in that rock and a hard place. I am now married and even though I complain about him he is wonderful (alot better than my ex). BUT, maybe you could push for half days? Or limited work? So that you aren't doing too much? This should qualify in the FMLA but that won't help any if it comes down to taking care of your family financially.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Being a single mom sucks sometimes. BUT also think where will your family be if something happens to you? You MUST TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF not only for your sake but for THEIRS.
