TVH Thick Uterus

Anyone ever hear of a thickened uterus? Dr sId my uterus was two to three times thicker than it shojld have been.? They sent it to pathology but nothing back yet.

That was one of the reasons for my LAVH. My dr tried get it to thin by giving me 12 days of Prometrium and when I went back for another ultrasound he said I should be around 7 and I was at 14 which was the same as the first ultrasound. He did a biopsy that came back normal so he gave me the option of a D&C/ablation procedure or a hyst. I did a lot of research and chose the hyst since I wouldn't be able to have children after the ablation anyway

I had a thick uterus waited 2 years until my hysterectomy. Didn't have cancer a thick uterus is a sign of uterine cancer. So thankful I didn't have it. Women that bleed a lot sometimes have a thick uterus. I wanted an ablasion but had growths in the muscle of my uterus so had the hysterectomy. Everyone is different so best to ask your doctor about things.
