My hyster seems like a distant memory already

Yep, I do. I've been feeling great since the first week. No pain, not much discomfort since then. If my bladder would shape up once and for all, I'd be back to normal. It's been leaking off and on. I've started doing kegals, so hope that will be helping.
I've really had an easy time with all of this compared to some. I almost feel guilty. I was expecting the worst, but got almost the best.
I go back to work on Monday, so I'll see what I feel like by the end of the day. I'm a secretary and have a very easy, laid back job.

I don't know where the last 6 weeks have gone! I also have a part time, at home embroidery business, so have been back to working there for the past 3 weeks. I guess that's how time went so fast!

Me too ! I wish I had something to show for my time off though. All I seemed to do was watch NCIS reruns....

Nope, it's not a distant memory, it's still right there.

I started feeling that way at about the six week miracle mark.

My hyster seems like a distant memory already

yes, i am 6 months post op and since being back at work (six weeks post op) i have to keep remnding myself that i actually have had surgery. my work can entail a lot of heavy lifting and pre-op i would do it no probs. now i have to remind myself that i am not supposed to do that - the guys at work are good.
i don't miss my period, and never think about not having a uterus anymore.

i was asked if it missed it and how i was coping without it now, and i barely kept from laughing!Like Mrsfarmer, i almost feel guilty becasue i've had it relatively easy compared to some i've read. but i guesss that's the way it goes . i wanted lots of tlc and sympathy, and got it, but felt guilty because i really didn't feel all that bad. (baarring initial surgery pain)
surely sometimes things can go good for us without the need for guilt?

I wish. I still know I had surgery. My bum hurts for some reason, there's pulling sensations, peeing ALL the time and the never ending spotting.

Sorry, didn't mean to whine, but figured there are others out there who might feel as bad as I do that might need to know they are not alone. LOL

Must be nice. I look forward to feeling the same way, hopefully in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, I'm still dealing with swelly belly, vaginal cuff pain, irregular bowels, insomnia, night sweats and hot flashes.

I'm not exactly at the distant memory checkpoint yet, but am improving slowly day by day. This week is my first week back to work full time, and I have had to make some adjustments there in order to stay all day. I hope to be walking in your shoes some day.

I'm good- went back to work last week (2 weeks post op) and haven't had any problems at all. I really wish I could fake a day and spend it in the recliner, though... that was so awesome! Oh well...

I am having some emotional "moments"- grieving the loss. Physically, though I am right back to normal except for still some swelly belly. I had LSH, and I am impressed with the recovery!

Yay!
