4 weeks post hysterectomy: So much pain!!

Hey ladies,
So i am almost 4 weeks after LAVH and I am feeling horrible!! It seems like its been one thing after another, bladder infection, yeast infection, bacterial infection, pneumonia..its never ending..I woke this morning tho with horrible pain in my left pelvis, like i feel like someon has punched me there..all i want to do is curl up in a ball and cry..i have tried everything i can think of- heating pad, hot shower, ibprophen, tylonol, gas meds, going potty...nothing is alievating this! Anyone else delt with this?
i am ready to break down and cry!

I am so sorry you are going through this. Not sure if it helps at all but I have that same feeling in my right side. I had vaginal cuff repair about the same time as your surgery. With the infections you have experienced, this may warrant a call to your doctor just to be safe. And for the record, many of us have curled up into a ball a cried! It's ok to have those feelings. Thank you! I called my dr and have an appointment on thursday! What do you mean cuff repair? Is that something that is needed often? I am so scared hes going to tell me they are taking me back in for more surgery

Have you tried probiotics? Your experiences sound very similar to mine. When my GP prescribed antibiotics for my bladder infection on 9th day of post surgery, he recommended me to take probiotics to prevent yeast infection. I had bladder infection many times in the past, but I have never been recommended to take probiotics by any other doctors. I hope you don't suffer from these annoying symptoms anymore.

what kind of probiotocs can we take, brand??

I am taking 30 billion from webber naturals. I am also taking cranberry 500 mg from Health Balance found at Costco.1tablet per a day for both.
It does make sense the yeast infection is anticipated if you killed all bacterias including good bacterias by taking antibiotics. Unfortunately not many doctors inform or remind their patients of it.

If you have diarrhea from antibiotics, you will need specific kind of probiotics. I can't remember the name, but pharmacist will help you.

You sound exactly like myself. I have had the same things also bladder spasms that are very uncomfortable. I happen to be a state away at the moment with no ride to my surgeon. I don't want to go to an ER for them to suspect i am a seeker. I just wish all the pain and complication would come to an end. I had my LAVH on 10-22 with complications that led to a second surgery and a blood transfusion on 10-27.
