Fibroids make me feel Prego?

So I get these random feelings in my stomach..they feel like when you first start to feel a baby kick? You know the flutters? Anyone else have anything similar? They drive me nuts and actually upset me alittle too. They are completely random.

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

I get those in my left side where my fibroid is located. It actually happened again yesterday Not painful or anything, just weird. I always concluded it was gas even when I knew I didn't have gas. So, is this caused by my fibroid? I was told that my fibroid is located so as to not cause pain or pressure. And since it's not causing heavy bleeding or anything else, I was told to leave it alone and that even the side effects of UFE would be too painful for me to mess with the fibroid.

So is this fluttering the start of some sort of fibroid issues? I'm 45 so I am hoping to hang in here until menopause. Anyone with feedback?

Thanks

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

I just posted for the first time recently about weird sensations in my abdomen from fibroids as well. A friend just told me today that when her's got big she felt all sorts of strange things-I'm looking forward to an ultrasound in two days to find out what is down there! (my last ultrasound was 2 years ago and the fibroids were small then). I too find it disturbing. At least you'll be done with them soon-I don't have a date yet for surgery. Good luck and I hope all goes well and you feel great again!

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

Thanks for the input...would love to hear if anyone actually talked to Dr about this. I googled it but couldn't find anything concrete.

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

I did talk to my dr. about this but she is a new dr. for me and I think is waiting to see the ultrasound report before she comments. She did mention that since one of my fibroids is pendunculated that it could account for the shifting sensation I am having. I understand your frustration-the sensations are scary for me. I'm hoping the ultrasound tomorrow sheds some light on what I'm feeling-I'm assuming since you have surgery scheduled that you have had ultrasound or other imaging done?

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

yes I had pelvic and vaginal sonograms but forgot to ask about this sensation. I go Tuesday for my pre-op appt. I'll probably ask then.

Re: Fibroids make me feel Prego?

This is so strange - I have many times felt like there was a brief "fluttering" that is very similar to when a baby first starts moving around. I just thought I was crazy. Interesting.....
