UTI/Kidney Stone Before Hysterectomy

I have had one UTI in my life, i only knew I had it because I went in for a routine exam 17 years ago and the dr. said I had one. Never felt anything.

Several years ago, I had contractions of the bladder, pain, blood which was rust color so I didn't realize it was actually blood. Thought one time that I peed in the toilet that the kids had had a bowel movement in and didn't think it could have been blood.
Kept going to the dr. saying I had lower back pain, groin pain, bladder felt like i was having a baby. So I eventually fired my gyn, went to the uro and he said it wasn't uro related but I should see my regular dr.
Regular dr. and I kept thinking it was due to my period coming because any time I was going there peeing in a cup I was bleeding vaginally due to the adeno.

Finally I wound up on all fours and in so much that I thought i was having a baby. Dr. called for an immediate cat scan and we found a stone, which they assumed I had already passed one or two of my body was fighting this one.

I eventually had to have surgery because after 2 montsh of trying to pass it, it didn't pass on it's own.

Now I'm scared that this is a kidney stone.
Dr. put me on antibiotics just in case it's a uti.

It sounds as if you have already contacted your doctor on the matter, which is what I would have recommended. I would just keep on top of it, and if your symptoms do not clear up, then call again. I do not know if a kidney stone will affect your surgery.
