Help!! Do any of u ladies have these issues too?

My issue began is January 2014 with a tubo ovarian abscess which was cleared with antibiotics. 2 months later I started having pain in my low right side. I'm in pain 3 weeks out of the month and it begins 10 days into my menstrual cycle. I have had multiple ultrasounds, laparoscopy and and MRI which all were negative except for a simple cyst on my left ovary and 9mm endometrium. I have low back pain and tailbone pain, hip pain, right leg and ankle pain and throbbing in my lower pelvis. I am waiting for a call from the specialist to discuss a hysterectomy because my quality of life is absolutely horrible. I have tried chiro, massage therapy, acupuncture, physio and medication to no avail. I have a full time job and im a single parent. My life has been put on hold due to my health issues. Have any of u gone through these symptoms? I feel so alone and ready to throw in the towel.

Re: Help!! Do any of u ladies have these issues too?

I do have the lower back pain partly due to swayback and degeneration of the L4 & L5. I also have had lower right pelvic pain since I had surgery in 1974. I assumed it was something to do with my ovary since it was involved in the surgery. Fast forward - was excited that with the ovary gone the pain would go away - not. Since the doctor was in, found nothing other than what he took out, I have to assume it is a nerve or something that was made mad back in 1974 that will not surrender. Thankfully it is just annoying -not debilitating.

I do hope for you that the surgery will get rid of some of the pain you are having so you have some relief. All would be fantastic but even half would be great I am sure.

Re: Help!! Do any of u ladies have these issues too?

I had no quality of life before the Hysterectomy! However as I type this I just had a Cystectomy on last remaining ovary because of a 5 cm simple cyst that caused a lot of issues.
I find the issues never truly clear up even after a Hysterectomy since the doc left my Right ovary in. Which I'm glad he did so I don't go into menopause.

I find though the issues are much smaller then the previous ones I had before my hysterectomy. I like you couldn't do a lot of things and it affected my quality of life!

Please keep us updated after you see the Specialist.

Lisa

Thank u for your replies!!

I'm still waiting for a call from the specialist so we'll see!

I even have night sweats before my period is due. I'm home from work today because I woke up extremely nauseous and got sick.

Wouldn't it be great if all of the health issues disappeared with surgery.

And to top everything off, I called the specialist office today to see how busy the gyno was. They hadn't even recieved my referral from my doctor. I was fuming mad! So I've been waiting around for the last month for absolutely nothing.

Re: Help!! Do any of u ladies have these issues too?

Hi, I have a tubo-ovarian abscess (went to ER with fever and pelvic pressure/pain) and finished my round of antibiotics last week but started pain immediately after including lower back where the inflammation at nighttime prevents sleeping and the area is hot. I have had stabbing pains in different places, what I think is swelling that makes my uterus push on my bladder then bulge on my vaginal wall (this is maybe my adenomyosis swelling?) but not all the time. I also more recently had frontal pelvic pressure over my bladder making it impossible to sit for an extended period. I'm also at the end of my rope. It's been 10 years of this lower back pain. Have had multiple ultrasounds showing some simple ovarian cysts. My previous med history includes: uterine ablation surgery for excessive bleeding that kept me from working (now I don't usually bleed, I'm 51 and premenopausal), and surgery for repair of pelvic prolapse issues. When it comes to this tubo o abscess, they almost didn't catch it in the ER because my white blood cell count was normal. I'm suspecting I've had this abscess a long time and my body adapts as best it can, but the pain is too much and I am guessing that the inflammation or the ovarian cysts have contributed to all my weight gain. The doc says if the antibiotics don't kill the infection I'll have to have surgery and he wants to take out my uterus too. My med history is more complicated than this but I want you to know I totally feel for you!!
