swelling

Rest and time are the only cure. The only other thing that helped me was a coke bottle (the little ones) filled with water, frozen, then put into a sock and laid on my incision area.
Please remember that recovery is a long process that can take up to a year. Unfortunately, swelly belly can also last up to a year but tends to come and go the farther out you get.

I am 12 weeks out & stil have swelly belly. It's VERY frustrating, but my doctor says it can take anywhere from 6 mos. to 1 year to go away. My skin still feels numb, yet burny also. Those are really the only "symptoms" from surgery I have left. Good luck & hang in there! The rest gets better!
