Newbie in Hysterwonderland

Hello!
I'm new to this new world of post-op. I just had a laproscopic robot assisted hysterectomy this week (July 25th). I still have my ovaries and I'm coming along fine, thank God. The biggest adjustment so far besides the pain is trying to not do my usual routine. I've been taking it easy but am sooooo restless.
I read the celebration posts and rewarded myself with OPI acrylics and a Seatbelt handbag (I've been wanting one). Now is the time for me to connect spiritually too and I should take advantage of this healing time - It's just difficult to stay home - except my daily walk to the corner.
But I am grateful for my loved ones, my friends and my church for supporting me through this. And I'm happy to find a great site like this too!

Re: Newbie in Hysterwonderland

I was having the same issue by not being able to do my normal routine. But I just need to remind myself that, "I need to heal properly!!!!!" If I do not then it will be a longer recovery! At the "end" of my recovery I am planning on doing something not only for my family and friends who have helped me, but I am planning something for me. Going to do the things I have not been able to....long, hot bath!!!!!! (just for starters!!!!)
Happy recovery to you!!!!!
