Did Pre-op yesterday

Hey everyone! I did my pre-op yesterday and I am glad it is done. My surgery is getting closer and closer. I have little bit of jitters but I will be so glad to be pain free after I recover! The good news is I don't have to do any cleaning of my bowels or anything like that the night before, I just can't eat anything after mid-night. I am having a LAVH. The main thing I am worried about is not having the things I need after surgery. I don't have alot of money coming in right now. And I am just worried.

I'm also on the 29th and had pre op yesterday. I don't think we will need much. The dr. told me not to even bother bringing a night gown that I will probably just want to stay in the hospital gown and robe. I did go out and get a new sundress thought it may be easier to get into at the hospital when its time to go home. A couple extras, mouth wash travel size and life saver mints. I don't think we will need much I don't know about you but I am planning on sleeping as much as possible with a few walks between.

My pre op is on the 29th and I am the same as u I dont have alot of money so I am mostly using what I have so that I can save money the only thing that I did buy that was new was underwear because thei said that I need oversized undies and I wanna get somethings to new clothes and stuff but I may not be able to dont worry u will get through it with no problem

I did my pre op yesterday to and I also do not have to do a bowel prep and I am so glad!! My surgery is on June 28.... I wish you a speedy recovery and I hope all goes well!!!! :-)

Thanks everyone for the reply. I hope it all goes well for u guys as well. We only have a few more days left!! It feels good to talk with other women who are going through the same thing u are going through. Because I feel like my poor husband just doesn't have a clue sometimes! Even though he means well.

Okay, thanks for sharing the good news! I have my pre-op on Monday, and then surgery on Tuesday. I'm not really sure what to expect at pre-op, but I'm SO ready to get this thing going, and getting to feeling better. I'll be looking for posts from you all! I haven't posted much, but have been reading quite a bit.

The only thing I did at pre-op was, they took my blood pressure, weight, height, and we discussed what was going to be done at surgery. They also gave me some kind of soap that I need to clean from my chin down to the end of my belly the day of surgery. Thats all that we did. I am having a LAVH done.

Umm...this may be stupid, but I don't have a pre-op appt scheduled. I'm literally stepping off the plane, home for a day, then right to the hospital on 7/30.

Should I be calling my Dr and asking her about this??

You might want to call your doc. Because any time I have had a surgery I have had Pre-op.
