My DH never sees me without it even at home and I hate the way I look without it. Did any of you wear makeup or is this a no-no?
First of all, good luck with your surgery and we shall see you on the other side. Wearing makeup was on my list of "can't do's" and like you, I feel so much better when I wear mine but had to obey the rules for the day of my TAH. Take care

I was told no make-up, lotions, etc. Also, the hospitals in my province have a strict no-scents policy, so no scented items (scented deodorant, perfume, etc.).

No scent policies are wonderful, wish we had them here!

Was also told no makeup or polish. I did get a haircut and my eyebrows done the day before mine. Made me feel better. ...Funny, if I had known how cute the male nurses were, I would have traded the eyebrow wax for a Brazilian.......lol

Just had my preop appt with the hospital. I was told no makeup or body lotions. Deodorant is ok...yay! I can brush my teeth but spit out. I always do..lol! I need to wash from head to toe with Hibiclens, i was given 2 packs at my preop appt. Use 1 packet the night before and one the morning of surgery. Hard to believe surgery is a week from tomorrow. Anxious and nervous.

Absolutely nothing I had to deal with *after* surgery was as difficult as the waiting *before* surgery. You've only got eight days left of the really hard part.
