Frustrated

I am supposed to have surgery September 10, but the communication with the doctors nurses really stinks.
It took over 2 weeks to find out about the CA-125, yes I did wait a week for them to actually come in. Then my file was "missed" placed for insurance approval. Called about a question and it took 5 days for them to call me back, all because they were calling a phone number that I did not give them. Another nurse pulled my file to get the number. I had to call the doctors office today to find out about pre-op. The nurse said oh it some how got missed. My confidence is totally shaken. This is my second oppinion doctor, so therefore I am not able to go to another doctor.

I have canceled the surgery. I have a new appointment with a new doctor Monday Sept. 10

My goodness. I hope things go better with the new doctor. You should have complete faith and trust in your doctor and by their treatment of you pre op, I would have questioned their ability also.

I'm so sorry you had to cancel and find a new doctor! I would make sure you write a letter to the office manager at the old doctor's office explaining why you took your business elsewhere. Your doctor needs to know that he lost business ( huge surgery money) due to his office staff's incompetence. He most likely is unaware they are not doing their jobs properly.

I had also let my insurance company know about them, since they rated them with quality care and on target with expense.

Went to new doctor & she was awesome! She looked at my report and said the fibroid & cyst are not causing your problems. It's all muscular in the pelvis. She througly examined me and looked me eye to eye when talking. She highly recommended physical therapy. I don't think I can get any less envasive than that. I know I will be hurting & be sore. But! I get to keep my goods.
I do highly, very highly recommend for anyone to get a second & more oppinions! I am so thankful. She also told me that I am premenopause.

I am happy that you were able to fnd a doctor that you feel comfortable with. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. You listened to your instincts and it worked out well for you.
