dVH/RALH 6 days post op

I am 6 days post op and it has been miserable. What started out as a simple removal of everything but ovaries turned into a mess. I ended up having endometriosis all over my bladder and intestines which they cleaned. I ended up with a 5 day stay in the hospital. And i came home with what i hope is a short stay visiter. A catheter. I have not been able to urinate, On my own. Nor have a bm. All in all i traded 1 set of pain for another set. Also i have been put on anti anxiety medicine. Someone please. Tell me this will get better

You poor thing! I did not have as many problems as you, but did go in expecting an easy 3 hour DVH surgery that turned into 7 and had a nick on my bladder and almost had to come home with a catheter too. I had a rough 2 weeks and am finally feeling better. I am so sorry you had to go through this and am sending you hugs and prayers that your catheter comes out soon and your healing goes well. Hang in there, it will get better!
