My Surgeon sent me photos of my fibroid after hysterectomy- can I post them?

I was really curious to see exactly what my fibroid looked like. My surgeon took pictures of it and sent them to me. While I won't be turning them into this years' Christmas card; it is interesting to see.the thing that caused so much pain. It was over 16 cm and weighed 7lbs. Was very dense.

My gyn sent me photos of my 27cm x 14cm ovarian cyst. Those things usually gross me out, but I agree it was super interesting to see!

Re: My Surgeon sent me photos of my fibroid - can I post them?

HAHA I was curious too. I was hesitant to ask my Dr if she would take a picture but then figured after all, it is my fibroid. So I braved my embarrassment and ask the Dr. She took and emailed me a picture. "Little alien" is my best description. And yes I did find it more interesting than gross. I like seeing and knowing my enemy. And knowing I have conquered my enemy lets me have a little power in my recovery! Dang that feels Good!

It was oddly comforting to see the photos that my surgeon took, too.
