Headaches Post Hysterectomy

Has anyone else been getting migraine headaches since the surgery? Ever since I have stop taking the pain killers (week 1) by the evening time I started getting headaches. I get things done within 5 hours then the rest of the day I rest. No lifting or turning.

Re: Headaches Post Hysterectomy

I have been experiencing headaches as well. Not migraines though. I'm 2 weeks post op and they started about a week later. My Dr prescribed Ibuprofen 600 and Norco. I never took the Norco because of the severe constipation so I relied on the Ibuprofen for pain relief which wasn't much. Hope things get better for you.

Headaches Post Hysterectomy

Thank you for reassuring me. My Dr prescribed Ibuprofen 800 as well. But I dislike relying on meds all the time. Guess my brain is trying to figure out what's going on in my body.

Hi,

It's more than likely down to your hormones.. everything has been messed around with and takes a little while to settle down. I found mine debilitating and nothing really took the edge off them. Cold compresses and bizarrely full fat coke - I don't usually drink them!? Go figure!! Helped a little. Hope they sort themselves out soon x

This could be way off, but I bought a salt lamp about a month ago and I've noticed since I've had it I've been having more headaches. I decided to turn it off and see if that's it and haven't had a headache all week.
