I Peeeed !!!!!

Hello Ladies,
I had a LAVH on Thursday (12-01-05). I was sooo worried about the cath. Everything went GREAT!, The surgery was over and I was back in my room by 2:30pm, at 3:30 am post op, I asked to have the cath removed. I slept for about an hour then decided I wanted to sit up, that went well, so I stood up(with the nurses help----then it hit me --I have to pee, no problems! Everything went great.Don't get me wrong I am sooo sore but, walking REALLY helps.Iwent home the next day. Just over 24 hours postop. I'm resting,walking, and drinking tons of water. I feel good. Hello, wishing you a speedy recovery. I tried to pee after surgery and had problems, I'm glad you didn't. It's been over two months since my surgery and recovery is moving along. It's very important to drink lots of water and walk and rest accordingly. Don't overdo at home, let anyone pamper you.

LOL I can relate. I felt like a proud 2 year old saturday when i was able to pee in the castle. And now 3 days post op, i am still proud every time i go potty.

Isn't it amazing what we take for granted, the little things in life, being able to wee and poo and yes, fart!

You know two months later, I still thank god for letting me fully complete a daily bathroom transaction...really, you never know how important the little things in life are. I was full of gas for weeks after surgery, I was so thankful after that cork...popped!!

Now only if this swelly belly would say goodbye,

I'm 8 mths and still get the swelly belly at night and I have a desk job. There is hope, I'm slowly getting into all my old clothes and can't tell you how good that makes me feel. But boy those good old sweat pants still lure me at night.

I can totally relate, I went 3 weeks after my surgery without being able to pee.. I am so happy that I am able to use the bathroom, I even peed on myself a few days ago when I sneezed.. even that made me happy.
